How I Engraved Stainless Steel with a Diode Laser (No Fiber Needed!)
Let me start by being completely honest with you. I was skeptical that a diode laser could engrave stainless steel. I had tried with my 5W and I just couldn't get it to work, not even a faint line. Everything I read pointed to fiber lasers, expensive setups, and complicated workarounds. But after testing a few hacks, from Sharpies to mustard (yeah, really), I finally landed on something that actually works: dry moly lube spray. If you’re trying to mark bottle openers, flasks, or stainless blanks with a diode laser, this guide is for you. Of course I am getting great results with my @xToollaser S1 40W but the tools and methods discussed will apply to most diode lasers (20W and up, the better)
